Need help with a Lincoln Mark7?

Question:
the other day my brake pedal was hard to press brakes worked but real hard. the pump on the brake booster was pumping(making a funny noise) ran my battery down. (obviously parked the car) Went online to find info NONE did find info 5 years ago that it is a TEEVES brake system has relay, accumulator and a pump. DOES anyone know what is wrong with car? WILL gradly reply via email if you can help. this is my ONLY vechicle so I'm really in a bind. THANKS.
