Question:
94 Ford Explorer 4 Door. Only window that is stuck down is the front passenger's. Fuses are fine. This has happened a few times. The first time, I took it to the mechanic and was charged quite a lot, and wouldn't want to do that again. The other times it has happened I was going to get around to fixing it when i had some free time, so for the meantime I put up plastic over the window, and after about a week it started working again. This time I have the time to fix it now.
Car won't start. Low battery and oil pressure.?
I have the door trim and water guard off. When I push the power window button I can hear a click sound comming from inside the door. (Both when I push up or down.) Now how can I get the window back up manually, and get to the motor if it does indeed need replacing?

Can Clearcoat cover or help a real bad, faded paint job which feels like sandpaper?
If you had a bad toothyou'd go to a dentist.
Make an appointment
with yourself, to fix the
window, get it over with.
Just take it apart and
see what is going on.
Order what you need
and install. A new motor
for your window has to
cost less than having it
done by someone else.
Is it possible and recommended for me to change brake pads in my car?
It could need a power window motor for the inside of the door. Unfortunately, it is almost impossible to raise a power window up in a vehicle that has no working power. Try checking the wiring connector into the motor to make sure that the wiring is sound.Clear coating, tips and max number of coats?
You can get a new motor online (check with autozone for the part number) or from autozone, either way, you need a new motor. You have the door apart, thats half of it. From here, you will have rivets holding in the motor. Disconnect the motor wire, unbolt the window from the mounts and put a screwdriver under it in an up position so it's out of your way. Drill out the rivets. pull the motor and assembly (watch it, its spring loaded) remove the whole thing, put in the new motor, get some locknut bolts about the size of the rivets (unless you have a rivet gun) and re-install. It sounds a lot harder than it is. Get the chilton manual from the library for illistrations...How hard is an exhaust system to install onto an suv?
Hopefully you can lift up on the window and push the up button at the same time. This may or may not work but it is a shot. Can you get to the motor at all? Good luckWhy are the gears hard to shift in my car?
u can get the motor from the dealer or junk yard or try hitting on the window motor itself while pushing the window switch if u dont know what u doing i would take to the pro my advise to uTo get it up. Loosen the motor mounted in the door until the teeth slide by it. Then tighten it back up.
Anybody let a car sit for 6 months, then run it, how much water do you think got into the gas?
If it does not slide it is probably jammed. Look for debris in the tracks or in the gears.
Do as others said. Go get another motor. Remember on the re-installation to put up the water shield (plastic), or you will get water intrusion on the next rain. If you ripped the plastic use duct tape to fix it.
My 1995 astro van makes noise in the rearend when i turn corners,What could be the problem?
unbolt the window from the regulator and take the window completely out and then you will have to probably unbolt the regilator and take it and the motor out as the motor is hooked to the regulator, go to the parts store and get a new motor and if you have never put a motor on a regulator I would suggest you take it to a mechanic to have the motor installed on the regulator as you can really mess things up if the spring flys out. After you have the motor installed on the regulator put the regulator and motor back in the door and then slide glass back in the door and hook it back to the regulator and your all set.More Questions & Answers ...
