Question:
There was just under half a tank of diesel in the car when i decided to top up, i suddenly noticed that i made the mistake, i put a very small amount in the tank, about £2.50 worth of unleaded i did ask the fuel attendant and they said it should be ok.
I drove for a further 10 miles and filled the car up with £10 worth of diesel and since i have put the unleaded petrol into the diesel car i have driven about 110 miles and i have currently had no problems.
Is their a way of making a car engine go silent using ash?even if its an old engine?
What should i do now? consult with a mechanic and bleed the car of the fuel that is in there or let the tank go to the red line and put a healthy amount of diesel in the tank?
Does anyone know how much it would cost roughly to get a moonroof installed in a car?

Keep filling it up at 1/2 tank for a while and be sure it is diluted well, you can blow the heads off a diesel that way.I would rather see you have the tank drained. it doesn't take but a drop of that fuel to enter the cylinder and that's it game over.

I wou;dn't be to worried about it. that small of amount shouldn't cause any issues. I know an old timer who always mixed 5 gallons of super unlead in with each saddle tank of diesal every time he filled up. Safest thing would have been to pump out your tank before your refilled it. Not a bad idea still, but you might be ok if you keep the tank as full of diesel as possible for the next couple of weeks. I'd fill it up every other day, or if you get near a half tank.The intake manifold was cracked,and antifreeze got int the spark plug hole?
