Question:
Okay I took the thermostat off because I thought that was it,,,,and I found out that wasn't the problem because it still overheats...it overheats only when I travel more than 40 minutes in the freeway though,,,if I just go from here to another place in 15 minutes, it doesn't over heat,,,what could it be?

Car Problems: Can anyone advice please?
It is possible that your thermostat was stuck open instead of closed. Make sure you put the proper temperature in first. If the fan isnt coming on when its hot the your coolant temp sensor is faulty. Then the next step is to replace the radiator cap. If the cap is faulty the system wont work properly. This system works under pressure. If this doesn't fix the problem move top step 4.
Will a 168 tooth flywheel fit in my t5 bellhousing?
This is the power flush step. You have fixed the simple things first. You should have less than $50.00 in so far so your not hurt yet. A power flush for your system should put you back about $50.00 or so.
I believe in keeping it simple first. There are shops that should be able to flow test your water pump to see if its faulty. But if you've done all the previous steps then a water pump is probably in your future.

Where can i find a website for auto parts substitution?
Bad waterpump. Faulty temperature sensor.Make sure your electric cooling fan is working, check your antifreeze to see if its mixed properly..and i guess the next thing is to flush the radiator out.
i own a repair shop and it may be a bad water pump on it or it could be the bottom of the radiator clogged up on it ,and that will stop the flow of coolant to it,and also if the cooling fan isn't coming on ,that can cause it also, what you will need to do is run it setting still and time it and see how long it takes it to get hot and also see if the fan comes on,if no fan on it replace the fan or the switch to make it work, but be sure and check to see if the bottom of the radiator is stopped up,that will make one over heat just like yours is doing, good luck with it ,hope this helps.
