Error code P1294?

Question:
Mitsubishi Eclipse with error code P1294, "injector high side open bank 2/ target idle not reached" What does this mean? what is the "high side"? The car lopes while at idle, but drives ok. i think its a 1996 (friends car)

Injectors have power to them at all times. It is grounded by the computer. The high side would be power. This could be from a bad connection at or before the injector or a defective injector itself.
