I put a K&N air filter on my 2001 Grand Prix and I noticed a difference. They claim their filters increase horsepower, and from what I've seen out of my car I believe it. I like the one I have because it has a lifetime warranty as long as you clean it regularly. Beats those cheap-@$$ Fram filters...

Any time you can make your engine breath easier and more, you increase performance. K&N has done a lot of research designing their products to do just that, and make them reasonably priced also. NO! They allow MUCH more dirt into your engine. The extra airflow into the engine may be worth it in a forced-induction engine for track applications, but putting one in a daily driver, especially if you work or drive near construction areas, will cause you more problems down the road than the small power gain is worth.
