what is overdrive in automatic transmission?

If you have plenty of time and the patience of a saint then you should be OK but its a helluva job including undoing the engine mountings to lift the engine to get at the cover bolts, bottom pulley etc. and i think with that model you need a special tool to correctly tighten the belt which i beleive is expensive to buy and i dont think you can hire them,if i were you and you can afford it take it to a garage, good luck and a happy new year.

easy job, locate the tensioner, its the one with a 8mm alen key nut in the middle of it. undo the nut. slacken off the tensioner again using the same alen key on the long threaded part of the tensioner. remove the old belt, fit the new one, re tighten the belt(dont go daft) and dont forget to tighten back up the bolt in the middle of the tensioner. job done 15mins max.
