What size bolts do I use to mount my engine to my engine stand?

Question:
I have a chevy 350 that came out of an 1980 + or - camaro (guessing by body style and image search on yahoo)what size bolts and how long do I need to mount on my engine stand?

Go to a wrecking yard and ask them for a set of 4 engine to tranny bolts...

should be 3/8'' diameter bolts and i use 2 1/2 long with a thick flat wahsher. some 350's use a 7/16" diameter bolt. they are national course thread bolts. and do yourself a favor and buy the grade 5 or grade 8 bolts so your 350 does not come off the stand and onto your foot. the soft bolts will bend and break. good luck.
