your transmission is the 4T60-E model. Depending on what exactly went wrong will affect the price of the rebuild, that and the location your in will affect the veriations in prices. The trans shop that I use to manage had a set rate on transmission repairs per different models. You can expect a repair estimate or bill to range between1200-2000. Like i said thou it will depend on whats wrong and if they do a full recondition or replace just what went bad. If you do take it to a transmission shop look for shops that are ATRA certified and give warrenty's. that way regardless of where you go if it breaks down somewhere and its still under warrenty another ATRA shop can fix it. Go to transmission shops that give free estimates and go from there. Ask Friends/family/co-workers if they know of any good shops. Better to pay a bit more for good work, than not.
when i bought my demo i drove it for like a few weeks (and it had only been driven by its previous owner for a few months and was thus, a new demo car) when the transmission went CRAP
of course, they had to cover it for free since the car was thus, messed up when i bought it (new cars should never have their transmission go bad)
however, i did get to see the estimate of what it would cost me and it is usually anywhere between 1,000 and 1,500 hundred for parts and labor to replace a transmission
