1. Water reservoire for radiator - bottle accumulates air frequently which seems to stop the heater working until the pressure is released by loosening the cap off and air bubbles up through the water.

2. Petrol guage - filled up petrol tank, know it was full by the amount it cost. The petrol guage showed only 3/4 full after driving for 2 miles the guage dropped to half way. It climbed to just about above half way and has stayed there since.
Gasoline --- Now that they add 10% Ethanol to gasoline, is there any reason to add dry gas ?
No petrol smells so no leaks......same with the radiator...there is no leak of water just accumulation of air bubbles.

1) Has any work been done on the cooling system recently? - If you have an air lock ( in the heater circuit) then unless you've had work done or theres a leak then you could have head gasket failure ( or cylinder liners if fitted). Check your engine oil, if its white and like cream then you may have coolant loss in to the engine from a headgasket failure or liners etc.

You need the coolant system pressure checked to see if there is a leak.

Heater not working may be caused by (if fitted) the heater valve not working for some reason.

Excess air in the coolant reservoir would be an early sign of head gasket problems as would the heater not getting warm.

Guage problem is likely just that, a gfaulty guage. As long as you keep it topped up with fuel then dont worry there.

I would be inclined to get shot as I'd say the head gaskets about to go and not worth doing on an old daewoo.
The water system could have an airlock in it but if not the heater matrix could be gunged up. This happens in some cars at times. Could also have a more serious underlying problem if it were gunged up. Hopefully it is an airlock.
