My car hesitates to change gear (automatic trans)?

Question:
my car gets stuck sumtimes and i hve to press the accelator extra hard for it to move..it hesistates when im in a stop sign or im increasing speed...the car sumtimes also goes reverse eventhou its in drive and the car goes forward eventhou i changed it to reverse..its a really dangerous problem and im goin to the mechanic toomo but now i juss want sum information if sumone cn help?

Your transmission is telling you it's either low on fluid or the speed sensor is out of wack.You didn't say what kind of car you have or the mileage on it.Best bet take it to a good transmission shop and weigh the option of trading it in for a another car verses getting too much money into a car that just started to "nickle and dime" you to the poor house.
