I have a friend who is willing to sell me his car. It's a 98 chevy monte carlo. It's in good condition except for a bad o-ring, so it drips oil. Besides that and 2 rear tires, he's asking $1,000. How much is it to get the o-ring replaced with labor? I know the part is like .50 cents. But it's the labor I'm worried about. Would it be a good deal?

if its a bad piston ring it could cost a little bit. its its something small like an o-ring around the oil drain bolt you could do that yourself. i personally would buy it. cheap car with a couple of hundred to fix could be sold again for a couple of thousand. or keep it yourself for a while.
