The term used to mean: replacing the spark plugs, rotor & condenser, etc. With advanced technology, a "tune-up" is no longer neccessary.
Your spark plugs are now platinum tipped & should not need to be replaced 'till 100,000 miles.In fact the plugs are covered under the emmissions warranty for 8yrs or 80,000 miles & I don't think a rotor & condenser are even on vehicles any more.
You don't mention how many miles are on your Escape or if you are having a problem.

Now if your vehicle is failing an emmissions test (& that is why you think you need a tune-up) you may be able to get Ford to pay for it. That is if you are still within the emmissions warranty period. I am also giving you the link for your warranty book:

Remember that this is a Ford warranty so you will need to take advantage of it at a Ford Service Center (Dealership) in order for them to pay for it.

As Mtech says, the term "tune-up" is outdated. There really isn't anything you need to do with your vehicle for maintenance, other than regular oil changes, basically. You may need to replace the air filter, fuel filter (beside your gas tank), and spark plugs every now and then, but otherwise maintenance free. If you have driveablitity issues, you would need to have your vehicle scanned (or EEC tested in Ford lingo) for codes, and have the apropriate repairs completed.
