Would a BMW 325i engine from an e36 model fit in my 325i e30 model?
i own a shop ,and you can probably do this ,its not one of those things that you have to be a rocket scientist to figure it out, drain all the coolant from it,and remove the heater hose and start flushing ,use a good garden hose with an end the will fit over most of the hoses, and start flushing it,run water both ways through the engine forwards and backwards ,this gets all the loose residue out of the engine, and take your time with it,do it a few times and run it until you see nothing but clear water come out of it,once your done ,make sure there's no water left in it,and put everything back together and then re-fill the system,it takes a few hours to do it right, but its worth it,good luck i hope this helps. How do i replace 1997 ford explorer xlt license plate lights?
yeah go for it it's really not that hard2001 pontiac grand prix 3.8 motor non supercharged.?
OK! You have our blessing.Brake lights working but warning comes on.?
It is not hard, but unfortunately in the state it is in it would not be recommended. Unless you have a power flush system you will just be draining an refilling the system. This will leave all the residue that has broken down still in the system, making your task just about useless. Can someone please check this VIN # 1J4GZ78S9WC152816?
Pay the 70 bucks and get it cleaned out good, and keep up on it in the future. Its better to spend the 70 bucks now than have to replace your engine or car when it over heat and locks up on you.
Disposal could be a problem. The stuff is a nasty poison, and is "sweet tasting" so pets will lap it up, and it can kill them. Check with your town on how to get rid of the stuff. I've paid mechanics to drain it, because they have the facilities to dispose of it properly.
90 Chevy 1500 1/2 ton pulls to the right real hard when you press on the brakes.?
Please consider using non-toxic antifreeze, like Sierra or Prestone low-tox. It might be $5 more at the end of things, but it works just about as well, and solves the pet-killing and disposal problems. So you'll be able to more easily change it in the future.
About how much would it cost to replace tie rods and a front axle?
Some people fret that it's not as good, but look at the chemical makeup (ethylene glycol poison, vs propylene glycol harmless). They're nearly the same molecule. Like methanol and ethanol, it only takes "one carbon" to turn it from poisonous to non-toxic.
Can anyone recommend I great book for beginner basic car maintaince?
You also need a flush though, given the color of the stuff. That black is corrosion from the inside of the engine, radiator and hoses. In the future if you're not going to change the coolant, add "anti-rust and water pump lubricant" to it every year.
What are some good automotive repair and reference books for honda motors?
If it were me, I'd seize that time for a little preventative maintenance. Definitely do the thermostat, and gasket. If the coolant hoses are showing any age, replace em all now, way cheaper than having a breakdown. I find if one goes, they'll all go within a year or two.
Were is the EGR valve located on a 1996 Ford f150 351 clevlend motor?
That is about right for this, because they have a special machine that does this and it will do it all and replace with new anti-freeze and water pump additive to keep your system clean and workin right.Anti-freeze is very poisonous to animals and it will kill them,it has a sweet smell that atracts them and it is environmentally unsafe.
