Yes, there is no requirement you take it back to the dealer for routine maintenance you can do at home, but do keep dated receipts showing purchase of oil and filters in case you should need them, and a note as to the date and mileage it was done.

The warrant is best honored by having the dealer to do the required work. Oild change and all. Otherwise they could say iw wsn't dne corretly. Don't give them any excuse not to honor your warrant. They don't offer a ten year warrenty for nothing.. Of course you can always check with them and get the reply in "writing."

As long as the car is under warranty you have to have a dealer or shop do the oil change, if the engine fails they will blame you, or the jiffy lube or whoever did the oil changes.

Will my car engine be affected if it stalls now and then? so far it has stalled at least 5 times.?

I can tell you for absolute sure that it doesnt matter if you know squat about cars or not. If you change the oil correctly and have reciepts for all the oil and filters and log the changes in a book like the owners manual there should be a section for that. You are entitled by law to go to the dealer go to a quick lube or do it yourself as long as you keep records and reciepts for the services. You need no proof that you are ase certified or anything like that.
