My AC is leaking refrigerant, what should I do?

Question:
I haven't charged it for a long time because it loses the charge real fast. It is leaking refrigerant and what I assume is compressor oil from the tube coming out of the compressor

If you know your way around your car, I suggest isolating the leak and replacing the defective component. Be aware sometimes a system can have multiple leaks. I had that problem.

I also suggest replacing the compressor line. I know mechanics are not cheap, but you need to get this done right. And it has to be leak checked afterwards. If you missed something, you just lost another charge.
