Question:
HI,
We have a 2003 wrangler with about 43000 miles on it. It keeps dying when we are stopped at lights and what not. What coudl be causing this?
Answers:
If, when you take it back to the service dept., it is still stalling, ask them to rap on the sensor. Sometimes that will, temporarily, help it idle better. If it does, then you know that the IAC is probably the problem and ask them to replace it.
Since it sounds like they misdiagnosed it the first time I would ask them to,at least, cover the labor for this.
it could be a couple things...1st thing i thought of was Torque Converter Lockup but it could be anything.

I believe you have a vaccuum leak around the engineIAT Resistor... Cause Engine Problems?
It may be as simple as a vacuum leak. An engine pulls the most vacuum at idle, if there is a vacuum leak, more air than fuel is giong to the engine.More Questions & Answers ...
