If I get cold air intake for my civic do I need to take it out during the winter time or is that just a rumor?

Question:
I was talking to a friend yesterday and he told me that when people get cold air intake in their cars customly that they have to take it out and stuff during the winter? That sounds really complicated and a pain in the *** but if it isn't true i want to get one. Can someone please tell me the facts? Thanks =)

How do I fix the power locks and power mirror adjuster on my 2000 Chevy Blazer after they quit working.?

Thats a rumor, which is not true. Unless you plan on driving through feet of snow constantly all winter long, then you might need to.
You only need to worry about huge puddles of water getting sucked into the intake, thats all. So snow shouldn't be an issue.
