Straight out of ODB-codes.com :Do u think petrol should be cheaper.?
"In fixing this code, it is quite common for people to just replace the EGR valve only to have the OBD code return. The EGR valve is not always the culprit.
* Use a vacuum pump and pull the EGR valve open while monitoring engine RPM's. There should be a noticable difference in RPM's with the EGR open
* Clean out the EGR valve to remove deposits
* Replace the DPF sensor
* Replace the EGR valve"

Typically the focus is notorious for these, it can be egr pressure sensor, but it also can be one of the vacuum lines leading to it near the firewall. The heat makes them deteriorate and the engine runs like crud because of the vacuum loss. Do you know a website or page i can costum a 1996 mustang?
To clear it up, this DTC "indicates EGR monitor failed due to PCM detecting EGR flow while driving is less than edsired minimum."
If your valve is new then the first thing you should look for is pinched or damaged vacuum lines in the system. The DPFE could also be measuring output incorrectly, which seems to be a frequent problem with Ford Focus cars in particular.
Was the solenoid integral with the valve you replaced? If not, I'd look at that too.
Hate to send you chasing after it but without being able to scan it to see what the DPFE is reading its hard to say.
'99 FORD TAURUS tranny oil dip stick location?
Do what ODB codes . com says. If the valve opens, and the RPM doesn't drop, unclog the passages. If the RPM does drop, replace the DPFE transducer thingie. Of course you already checked your vacum hoses first.More Questions & Answers ...
