Can I put a 700R 1995 2wd Chevy transmission in a 1990 4wd Chevy suburban?

If the 90 has 700R, you will have to disassemble both and use parts off the back of the 4wd trans so the transfer case will bolt on. You have to use the output shaft and short extension housing off the 4wd trans. After so much work disassembling. you just as well rebuild the transmission you are going to use. Otherwise, just get another transmission from a 4wd.
