Temp and oil gauge?

Question:
I just changed engines in a Chevy Truck now when I turn the key on the oil and temp gauge go the high end I'm sure that I hooked everything up right, but I sure can't figure this one out . It's 1992 with a rebuilt 350. Thanks in advance for your answers.

well obvisously you hooked something up wrong or they could be broken and need to be replaced
