Question:
I've seen some similar questions and have tried the usual. Thermostat was replaced 2 years ago. The fan spins when hot-wired. The relay works (swapped it with the interior fan). I checked the wires to the fan when the car was hot (nearly overheating) and they had zero voltage. That leaves a wiring issue or the Temp Sending unit. My main reasoning for it not being the coolant temp sensor is that the interior gauge works. My Chilton's manual claims that the same temp sensor controls the gauge and the fan. If this is the case (does anyone know for sure?), something strange is going on. I'm going to test the sensor's resistance this evening. I'm not confident that it's the problem. Perhaps I'll just hot-wire the relay with a switch..any suggestions on this?
GMC transmission/90 gmc pick-up?
This was fine in the winter but I could really use some help with the temps climbing. I want to avoid nearly red-lining in traffic again this summer.

Is it ok to upgrade the intake on a stock turbo eclipse gsx without upgrading the air filter?
follow top radiator hose to engine close to this is temp sensor un plug on most or some models will kick fan on engine running at normal operating temp is coolant low can also be ECM cooling fan designed to come on between 210 and 230 degrees good luck hope this helpsIs it a good idea to put body kits on a car?(urethane/fiberglass)?
The sensor for the gauge, and the sensor for the computer are frequently DIFFERENT SENSORS. So the gauge might look great, but the computer never knows to turn on the fan.Buying new tires they said they need to replace both tires because it might cause damage 2 the car?
I've also seen bad engine control modules do the same thing, but this is fairly uncommon.
How do you fix a Catalytic Converter yourself for a 1994 Chevy Truck?
you need to replace the fan resistor, the fan has two speeds if this is your AUX fan it should run constantly with your a/c on low speed if car gets hot the second speed kicks in. If your car has a fan that runs directly of the motor you might need a fan clutch. fan clutch has a themostat built in when temp gets high it engages the fan thats why sometimes you hear it running strong and sometimes its just spining but not really doing anything. Which fan do yo mean?My brother and I changed the front brakes on my car 2 months ago and....?
#1 check the fuze #2 check the switch # 3 check the coolant censor#4replace fan .......good luckStart with checking the wires for breaks and any fusible links. Check fuses and connections.
