I own a window tint shop and I would say an average price would be around 160 - 200. This price may vary by what grade of film the shop is using and how flooded the market is. I would usually charge about 180 for that here in KC, but if you drive 30 miles west to Lawrence you could probably find it for 100. It pays to do your research. But price shouldnt be your main consideration. Quality is. If you get some cheap tint youll be driving around with purple windows in 6 months. Some good brands are Llumar, 3M, and my favorite, Sun Tek. But no matter what you do make sure you get a lifetime warranty in writing. A non-fading lifetime warranty is even better but be prepared to pay upwards of 180-200 for non fading films. A lifetime warranty is not the same as a non-fading lifetime warranty. Dont believe a single word any tint shop tells you. They will tell you anything to get your business. Do not drive away untill you thoroughly inspect your tint job. Dont be afraid to ***** a little. Be sure to look for specks that are dirt in the tint, and creases in the film. After a few days roll down your windows and make sure the tint is even along the top edge and isnt more than 1/8" down. Dont be afraid to take it back and complain, if they are a reputable company there will be no problem in fixing just about any problem. Just remember tinting is an art not a science. There will be minor flaws in EVERY window. What separates a good tint job from a bad tint job is how noticeable those flaws are. Make sure you get a warranty in writing!

Putting on window tint on the side windows is quite easy. like the previous poster said, go to an autozone and buy the kit for under $20. the rear window is the real issue. My first car, i tried 3 different times to tint the rear window, but i couldnt get it to look good. I ended up just having the pros do it for $75. I figured id give it another shot with my project car. once again the 2 front windows were a peice of cake, but lukily for me, i have a hatch, so i ended up just taking the entire hatch assembly off, and finally put on a layer of tint that looked good. sure it would have taken the pros 20 minutes to do, and i wasted 6 hours on the rear window alone.
For a 4 door car +rear, your looking at about $200-250. Be sure to tell them that you want a 1 peice rear tint, otherwise, they will more then likely use the same width the used for the side windows, and you will have a 2 peice rear that will look like ***.
