How can I tell if a can of freon has been used before?
if the regulater within the alternater is worn out , I do not recommened self testing by disconnecting the battery cables a over surge of power to the vehicle could overload your vehicles computer which will cost far more then removing the alt for testing which many part retaillers can testIt's a bad alternator. Do not do what some idiots say and disconnect the battery to see if the engine dies. The battery filters out the spikes and surges from the alternator and disconnecting it with the engine running can fry the computer. Justt get a voltmeter and measure the votage with the engine going.
why would changing the Intake Gasket on a 1984 corvette stop a oil leak?
Your alternator and or regulator is bad and the battery is not being charged. Or you have a short somewhere in the electrical system that is draining the battery faster than your alternator can recharge the battery. Have your charging system checked immediately.More Questions & Answers ...
