there is a switch in the transmission that controls the lock-up torque converter that has gone bad, it lets it kick out when coming to a stop or taking off, when it is bad the car will act like a standard shift car coming to a stop where you need to push in the clutch to keep it from stalling, you can temporarily disconnect the wiring harness that plugs into the transmission and the car will drive fine again, you just won't have overdrive until you get that switch fixed.More Questions & Answers ...
