This is my second attempt! Okay, so the air conditioning in my car isn't cooling. The compressor and the fan turn on, however, and the system has been checked for leaks. It won't hold a charge. What else could it be? Please help!

i own a repair shop,and if it wont hold a charge there is a leak in it,most likely on the inside in the heater box area,ever who is checking it just don't know what there doing ,because a leak can be found,find another place to repair it,good luck i hope this helps.Precision Tune vs. Saturn for car repair: which would you choose?
its going somewhere...get it checked for leak by someone who has the equiptment. Who did check it...If you put the gas in its leaking somewhere unless compressors not working...just cause its going around doesn mean its working.When pulling away from a junction the car revs and pulls away slowly (fiat ulysse 2.0el)?
If it want hold a charge it has a leak, let someone different check it.What color car do you drive? Do you speed?
open the hood and look between the grill and the radiator. you will see what looks like the radiator. it's called the condenser. shine a flash light on the thing and see if you can locate a green or red ooze coming out somewhere. if you do theres your leek. 01's were known to have problems with condensers. if you see the ooze probably toward the bottom in the corner you need to have this replaced. look around and get several estimates. some shops will try to charge up to 1000.00 to fix this. there is less than 200.00 in parts though.good luckMore Questions & Answers ...
