It depends how bad it was. you should get new oil, and probably antifreeze no matter what. if it was letting antifreeze into your cylinders, then you probably need a new oxygen sensor, other than that, i would just see if any problems show up and fix them as needed

I bought a used suv where would i go to find out any if any warranty is left?

first of all, check the severity of the problem,. drain out all anti-freeze, flush system 2-3 times with clear water, go to the pharmacy and obtain from the pharmacist a chemical called Water Glass or sodium sillicate. for a normal size engine use 1/2 the quart container. fill the radiatior with water, then top-off with the water glass. I have sealed several engines. one engine had a 3" long crack in the number 1 cylinder,2" down from the top, running horizontally. onother engine was a 6 cylinder. this was a external crack, approx. 8" . you could just watch the crack. seal up. This is the best stuff, works inside and out.

Antifreeze does not mix well with oil and can destroy [wash-out] crankshaft bearings.
I would get a second opinon, it may be an Intake manifold gasket
Is your Oil Milky ? Either way, not good .Check out another Mechanic, Good Luck ,Runner parts are not cheap .

New antifreeze, oil, water pump, timing belt if it uses one, and thermostat. And make sure you buy, or tell your mechanic to buy, a head gasket SET and not just a head gasket. The head gasket set has all the gaskets needed to perform a head job. You're better off doing right the first time than trying to be cheap and having to pay for it twice.
