What is the best product or way to remove oil stains from a concrete driveway?
The ball joint available from O'reilly Auto Parts runs just shy of $50 per side for a Moog brand ball joint. The labor to replace them are 1.5 hours per side approx. If you go to a shop to have this done, make sure they use a Moog joint, anything else will be a waste of money as they won't stand up to the abuse. Also, you will pay more than $50 for the ball joints if you have them done at a repair facility as they will mark the part up to make a profit. You can take in your own parts but most shops will not warranty the part but it will be cheaper for you.
1990 Cherokee 4.0 slow to start?
Ball joint $50 x 2 = $100 + tax (if you supply parts)
Labor (approx 3 hrs @ labor rate) = $180
$180 + $100 = $280 to $350 depending on labor rate
Ball joints on this vehicle are not replaceable, they integrated into the lower control arm. The entire assembly must be replaced.
The procedure involves disconnecting the strut to get enough clearance to remove the arm. You also have to remove and reinstall the radius arms.
