Question:
When I drive my car it starts out fine except for it shifts kinda hard from first to second gear sometimes. After driving for about 15 to 20 min my car when stopped will get stuck in second gear and then eventually putter out and shut off. If i try to start it back up it will not start up right away most times and if it does will putter out and shut off again. So I will let the car rest and drive for as long as i can before it shuts off again. After I let it sit over night i will be able to drive it for 15 - 20 min before it starts again. I brought it to the car shop and they said after fixing the overhead cam sensor that i should bring it to a dealership cause they dont know whats wrong. The car is a 1995 dodge neon with 102,000 miles on it. Please help.

My tires a cupping in middle. air press. is not too high. what is problem?
Could be an ecu problem or an injector issue. The last time I had a prblem with shifting it was the modulator valve. Take it to the dealer. Good luck
go to your favorite service center, and have your tranny fluid and filter changed. make shure they completely drain out the torque converter, when they do the fluid change
sounds like the transmission is locking up . Check the level of your transmission fluid if its an automatic.
Sounds to me like 2 problems. The trans getting stuck in second gear is most likely because of a sticking throttle valve linkage (very common on older Neons). The cutting out issue can be a number of different things. Try pulling fault codes (Autozone or the equivilant can do so). Post the codes and we'll see what we can come up with.
