92 Honda Prelude radiator blew with 6-8" crack. Replaced it. Now 20 turns of the key before starting. why?

Question:
The car sounds like it's going to turn over every time i turn the key. If i turn the key and leave it turned, the engine sounds almost as if it's running but as soon as i let go it dies. It's always SOOOOO close to turning over. I have to turn the key at least 15 times every morning and give the engine a tiny bit of gas to get it going, but after i get it going and drive it around, then it's fine for the rest of the day. Process repeats every morning.

Sure you didn't run the engine HOT when the radiator blew the 6-8 inch hole? Then you have a compression problem because you probably scored the cylinder walls!
