My 03 Taurus trans slip'd during uphill acceleration & won't go back in gear. Any solutions for repair?

I was entering an on ramp to an expressway when my engine revved up and my vehicle did not move. All at once my transmission slipped out of gear and still will not get back into gear. Is there anyone who has experienced this, and has a solution for fixing it?
