What are roof scoops for?

Typical normal reading for a temperature gauge is 80C (176F) under "usual" conditions. On a hot day running the air-con, climbing lots of hills, towing etc it may get to 90C (194F) . Anything above 100C or 212F is too hot in such a case.

Some (a few) cooling systems are supposed to run at 90C or 194F.

What would be the best!?!?!?!?

Low should be around 110, high around 220, some are 250. Thats in F. In C, you should be able to figure it out from the F scale conversion.
