Question:
gasoline only
Answers:
A Vortec 7400 (454) or Vortec 8100 (496) would be easier and cheaper though.
The small block, 427, 505hp LS7 from the Corvette C6 Z06 would be the best in terms of easy of installment in comparison to amount of power. Apparently they are now making LSx block 511cu.i.(8.3L) in a small block!, but it's most likely expensive as hell.
What is causing this anti-freeze leak at the bottom of my 1991 Chevy Beretta?
Really for enough money you can fit basically anything. I saw a guy that had a V-10 viper engine in a Jeep Wrangler, with on and off road transmissions.
dont know why the 8.3 isnt big enough. you could get a 502 in there if you want but a lot of trouble, and not gonna be streeet legal any more
I have a 3/8 auto drill, and want to use a hole saw on it?
Why wouldn't a 502 Be street legal? Maybe this is so in some states, but a 502 (GM Cadillac engine in the early to mid 70s) would be perfectly legal in most. Of course, you would have to cut fender wells, mod the suspension a bit, possibly cut the firewall, and eliminate ALL computers. However, to keep the truck mostly stock, a 5.7L (350ci) would fit just as well as the 5.3L (317ci), and you could keep your fuel injection and computers. The power difference wouldn't make it worthwhile.More Questions & Answers ...
