Question:
I've had a guy to check for fuel coming thru near the fuel injector I thought if my fuel pump was going out there would be no fuel coming up but when he asked me to turn the key he was pressing some nob under my hood and gas shot out so he says its getting gas. Is there a lot of work involved in the timing? I was told that he can nug the distributor slightly to the left and it might help. Is that true?

Are the taillights on a 2003 and 2001 Lincoln LS interchangeable?
Don't let him do that .first he is suppose to check if the blazer has juice in the spark plug cables.
do not try to loose the nut of the distributor on less he is a certified mechanic and/or someone You know that work steady in a automotive shop.
Wont turn over, you mean the engine turns over but dosent start? Well there is fuel, which you say your getting, then there is spark. It is highly unlikely that the timing would jump off so much that your engine wont start. Check to see if your getting spark, you can use a timing light to check that. I would also check the distributer cap and rotor.

it may also be that your catalytic converter is plugged. I had the same problem with my Blazerhow many miles on it? have you ever had the timing chain replaced? when they go the engine will turn over but the distributor is not in tune with the engine and valves. i'm afraid you will need a garage to determine if this is your problem though. it could be a bad ignition control module, too, but you don't want to go spending a lot of money on guessing which parts to try. the timing chain can go on chevy small blocks as early as 80,000 miles. good luck and hope the new year goes better for ya.
