Cheap durable tires (Not Douglas Tires)...?

Question:
I have a '90 Honda Accord. I recently bought 2 new tires (Douglas) for the front b/c the old ones were almost bald. They seem to have not faired well on my car. In contrast, When I bought it, there was one Goodyear Viva (Maybe a Viva 2. Not sure.) on the back drivers side. That tire is still as good as when I bought the car. I've heard people say that different cars like different tires (we had a van that would chew thru Coopers, but loved Goodyears.)
I'm looking for a cheap reliable tire that will replace the other 3 (which are crap.) Anybody have any input they'd care to share about Vivas (or Viva2's)? If they're bad, what is a good replacement?

Why my starter housing break after i?

A front drive car wears out front tires a lot faster than rear tires. If you never rotate, and the tires are properly balanced, it is possible to make the rear tires last for 150,000 miles or more because the front tires do all the work. But, then the rubber ages, and the tire can lose ability to grip the road in wet or icy conditions. This assumes no "drifting" or sliding the rear end around. Buy 4 tires, and rotate on a regular basis for best wear, and handling. I had really good luck out of cheap Wal-Mart tires on my last car. My present car came with Coopers, they are lasting well, and have really good traction in pretty much all conditions

I have 89 pontiac 6000 with bad paint,I'm thinking macco or peach for cheap job..anybody been to either place?

Honda Accords are front wheel drive. Front tires will not even come close to lasting as long as the rear tires! In tires, you get what you pay for. Good tires come with a tread wear warranty.

I am confused?

Go with the Viva/Viva2. They're decent and affordable. By the way, the front tires wear a lot faster than the rear because of the weight difference - the engine is in the front of the car. That's why they recommend tire rotations - to even out the wear. That's why your rear tire is not wearing out as fast. Also, with Wal-Mart service, as well as Sears and Pep Boys service, I don't trust them to hand torque the wheels (after using an impact wrench with a colored torque stick). I personally re-torque the wheels with my torque wrench, and have found that they overtightened them - so much that I have to use my electric Craftsman impact wrench to loosen the nuts. I don't want to get warped rotors again due to the actions of an employee who doesn't care about proper torqing. Also, if they overtightened them, you won't be able to get them off if you get a flat tire. This is very important to owners of Japanese-brand cars, as their torque settings are much lower than those for domestics.

Switching From Conventional Oil to Synthetic?

When it comes to tires, you get what you pay for. Cheap tires, cheap performance. I currently have Dunlop Signature Series tires on my Neon. They are performance/touring tires with a 75,000 mile tread life. They have superior handling and almost NO road noise. They cost us 75 bucks a piece. You could go with the Cooper Trendsetter SEII, which are 40,000 mile tires and they cost about 55 bucks a piece. They have fairly good treadwear characteristics.

Need help with a diesel engine.?

Prevent rusting...?

With all due respect to Fred C., I have been in the tire biz for a lot of years and have never heard of a 150,000 mile tire. I assume it was a typo.

Car problems?

Do you want cheap, or do you want durable? It is an either/or. The more expensive tires can be the cheapest tires to run, as pertaines to cost per mile driven.

I changed my spark plugs but no my car wont start?

Goodyear Regatta, Michelin Energy MXV4+ , Sumitomo Srixon, BFGoodrich Traction T/A are all good choices.
