If your changing the transmission fluid and filter then use 5 quarts Dextron 4 or higher if the torque converter is drained as well then use 9 quarts, that's the standard, best to get the book on the car and it will tell you. Pre-fill the torque converter before installing. After that fill the trans until it reaches the correct level on the dipstick! You don't give a year or model so that is the best I can do.More Questions & Answers ...
