i'm locked out my car my keys are inside and the windows are rolled all the way up so i can't use a wire clothes hanger to the lock. how can i get inside of my car without the keys?

Many newer cars have electric locks that can be ruined by the hanger method. Many cities have a business called POP-A-LOCK...like a locksmith, but especially for cars...they are wonderful for all types of cars, and less than half the price of a locksmith. Generally will come in 30 to 60 minutes.Engine sounds like it's skipping...check engine light on...dishonest mechanics...?

Even if the window is up,,you may be able to get thru past the rubber stripping.Good Luck.Some insurance policies cover a locksmith getting your car open. Don't let someone with one of their own lock jimmies try to open it though....I did that a long time ago and it ruined my locks! I had to roll down the windows and open the door with the outside handle, funny now but sooo embarrassing then! I still had to call the locksmith back then too.
Call the police. Sometimes they will help and they have a slim jim to pop the lock.

i own a repair shop,and you can get in sometimes using a coat hanger,,it may be a little hard to do,,but you can either try this,,or call a lock smith,,if you knew someone who had a slim Jim,,they will open the door up real easy,,its just a tool used by repo- lots,and tow truck drivers sometimes have them handy,,but that's the only way your going to get in to it,,good luck,i hope this help,s.Do not. Repeat, DO NOT even allow a slim Jim to be used on your vehicle unless it's a pre-1980 model. The newer ones have wires, motors for the windows, electric door locks, plastic clips, etc. all of which can and will be damaged with a slim Jim rammed inside the cavity.

If you have a proof of ownership - like registration or insurance card, a dealer will make you a key.This may sound like a really dumb answer, but I would use the plastic key that I had AAA make. You would be shocked how often people forget that they have them,

try useing what is called a slim-jim, thin piece of sheetmetal about one and a half inches mide and two feet long on the ends are notches or hooks, slide this down into the door at bottom of window, you are going to find the lock acuating rod, simply pull and twist, you should be able to get in, or invest in a keyless entry system.More Questions & Answers ...
