When an engine is called to be idling it means the engine is running at its slowest speed without pushing the accelerator pedal. normally it is between 800 and 900rpm depending on the vehicle

the car idleing is set so ur car can recharge the batery while working all the electronics wich is about 13v at the batery.....
the carberator is were the gas/petrol is injected/sucked into your motor......
