Why won't my '99 toyota camry hold it's idle?
I don't think the first 2 answers are correct.I am a ASE cert. tech and have been in the business for 20 yrs.Any knowledgeable technician should be able to align. a car in 30 minutes, oil change in 20 minutes. The noise you hear may be coming from the brake pad wear indicators but you should go to a shop and let them diagnose the problem. Most shops don't charge a fee to inspect for noisesIt is a wire disconnected from te starter! But..?
No, as they rather do the alignment by appointments, and first they'd have to inspect the front end...meaning, the suspension, steering, and such, before doing the alignment. Can I tow a trailer with a 99 Chevy Malibu 6cyl.?
i say no you can not safely get the alignment and a oil change in that time frame and maintain any quality standards. as to the second question, you gotta tell us what kind of car you are driving. a guess would be a bearing or warped break rotor.92 chevy c1500, 2wd leak in trany near universel ,engine is out ?
Your brake shoes are worn and what you hear is metal on metal contact. You better allow more than an hour and a half. It is unsafe to drive your car.How can I tighten up my trucks?
Alignment and oil change? Sure, when your "turn" comes up...let's face some reality here. No shop in the world is going to stop everything they are doing just because you walk in the door. The simple fact is that YOU make the time to maintain your car properly. So expect the guy at the counter to tell you to "leave it" for several hours...The screeching you hear is likely your brakes that have worn down to "metal to metal contact", and no it is not safe...plan on leaving your car all day, at least, to get things right again...

Is it true that Canadian Tire is a bad place to take your car to be repaired?
They should be able to do it within an hour and a half...if not then you should take your car to a different shop. An oil change should not take more than 20 minutes. All the mechanic has to do is drive the car into the shop, put it up on the lift, open the hood and take off the oil cap, raise up the car, take the drain plug out, wait for the oil to drain out, replace the oil filter, put the drain plug back in, lower the car, fill it up with oil, and the oil change is done. Most shops will also check the fluid levels, exhaust system, gas lines, and other stuff like that. Now remember, an alignment takes more skill than a simple oil change. It should take about 45 minutes to do...and they won't be able to do it while they are doing the oil change. You need to have the car on the ground to measure the distance between the tires and all that stuff. So...if they are efficent enough mechanics, your hour and a half deadline should easily be met. Before they start the work, remind them, very nicely that you have to be out in an hour and a half. Why do vehicle batteries need to be greased before they are installed?
And that grinding might be a problem with your rear axel. If you have a 4 wheel drive vehicle then you should probably have your differentials changed, re-build, and lubed. What happens is that there is a gear inside the "pumpkin" and over time, the oil leaks out. When there is no oil lubricating the parts, they will make a grinding noise at any speed (louder at high speeds). It's a simple enough repair, but it might take between 1.5-3 hours.
