someone hit the side of my 99 zx2 car i don't have the real money to get it professionally fixed anything i can buy like at a autozone or walmart to try and get the scatch out i was hit with a steel bumper no doubt and its about 3 to 6 inc at the right rear near the tire

if it is a small scratch you can water sand it. with special sand paper that u put in water first. or for deep scratches you can get a small can of body filler and fill it in and make smooth with something stiff Ex: piece of rubber works good. then sand down with 220 sand paper and go to auto parts store and find matching touch up paint for your color car and paint over it . maximum 50$

The trouble with todays paint is it is base coat/clear coat. If it is past the clear coat, the only way to repair it is to have it professionally repainted. A temp fix you can use is touch up paint, sold at your local parts store. Get the paint code from your door, for Ford its usually a two letter code, and match it to the paint code on the bottle. If you take your time with it, you can make it look almost as if it never happened. Paint it on until it covers the scratch, let it dry a few hours, then use some 1000 grit sand paper and wet sand it smooth, then apply a second coat and repeat. After that, buff it back out to a shine with a good high speed buffer. You can find a high speed buffer for around 50 bucks or so. Be careful not to buff too long, as you can burn the paint.
