You will need the KEY ACCESS number, as this will turn off the engine immobiliser. It is a 4 digit code.

Normally when you unlock the car with the remote blipper the immobiliser is automatically turned on or off. The key access number is carried out by firstly unlocking the drivers door then turning the key in the lock (for example if your code is 2345. You turn the key to the right (then the centre twice) Three times to the left, four times to the right, five times to the right.
It sounds quite complicated but the dealer will be able to confirm how to do it.
Just getting the key number and a replacement key will not be enough. You need to turn the immobiliser off.

It depends on the key type you have.Contact your nearest main rover dealer and talk to one of them
Rover keep records of keys and if you can sufficiently prove ownership (by providing the VIN number) they MAY be able to arrange a spare set to be cut.
Failing that buy new locks and have them replaced (dont forget to include the ignition)

Sit down and clear your head, tell yourself your keys are temporarialy misplaced. In your mind vision getting out of your car, turning it off, grabbing your stuff.......and retrace your steps.
Then pray and ask god (of your choosing) to help you keys to reappear so you can cleary see them. Take a stone, and place it in the west facing window ceil, (i really do this!) and tell the stone, that when the sun set on it tonight, in the morning it will have stored the information you need to find your keys.
In the morning, go hold the stone, and and sit, for about 3 mintues, and then put the stone where you would normally put your keys when you would come home usually.

HiyaIf you can get into the car? You can take the barrell to a lock smith & they will cut it from the barrel.........I had the same problem I bought a motorbike without a key so £12 later and hapresto got a new key
