once in awhile i am driving at times i have to keep both hands on the steering wheel because my car wants to go to the left and the more i go the car is making a thumping kind of noise coming from the front like it has a flat. my alignment is ok and tire balance ok when i say it goes to the left it is going with a force and thumping sound like there someone inside my steering column tryna force me to that left at any speed i go..i wanna fix this prolem myself i cannot afford to go to shop...any suggestions on where i can start looking?

Try left front break hose or caliber is frozeSince you had your alignment and tire balance checked they should have also checked your tie rod ends. idler, struts, CV joints and wheel bearings so that should rule them out as the problem.

Brake pads worn so bad going metal to metal and trying to lock up. Or new pads were put on with out turning the disc or replacing the disc. Or could be equalizer valve or calipers. If Pads were allowed to get too worn before changing could have worn ridges in your calipers causing them to hang up.
