Is it normal for a 98 Isuzu Trooper with 100k miles to use 1qt every 1k miles?
If you insist on doing it yourself I wouldn't worry about draining the block. In my opinion you should have it flushed by someone who has a flush machine. It will change 100% of the coolant and replace it to the right mixture and pH balance. How secure can I be in purchasing a 96 Silverado with 159k miles?
You're going to need to purchase a service manual for this car since this is proprietary information. The best bet is through Haynes to get the proper diagrams and service procedure for this car. If there's any doubt, take this car into a mechanic (not a quick oil change place). Any air pockets can destroy this engine in short order. There's a bleeder valve on top of the engine to purge out the air and this needs a hose run back to the coolant tank to purge the air.If there isn't one, better take it in.
How do I remove the headlight of a Vauxhall Corsa (X reg, 2000)?
SORRY NO PICTURE........SO I wil try to draw one in your mind for you....Ok ? First make sure the engine is cool, other wise the pressurized anitfreeze can burn you; then remove the radiator cap,. Drain by removing petcock in bottom of radiator and make sure you drain it into a big enough container , usually about 2&1/2 gals. After the coolant has drained , Remove the 10MM purge plug (This should be under the distributor ; on the thermostat housing) It should have a sticker that says “Do Not Remove When Hot” by it. Make sure not to loose the copper washer. make sure all fluid has drained then flush with fresh water untill it runs clear. close the petcock on the radiator and fill it with a 50/50 coolant water mix until a steady stream of coolant comes out of the purge hole, replace the purge plug and copper washer (under dist.)do not tighten yet . fill till coolant is coming out of the top of the radiator. Start car and run it with the radiator cap off and let it run till there are no more bubles at the purge plug. Make sure to keep the rad full! tighten the plug and Then replace radiator cap. let it run till you hear the electric fans cycle then check your overflow jug to make sure it still has plenty of fluid. if it's full your done . OH by the way ...I've always found it a good practice to change the thermostat when I flush the cooling system. It saves alot of headaches and you don't have to worry about it ! check your cap too.More Questions & Answers ...
