first retreaded tires are not dangerous. truck drivers use them all the time instead of new tires because they are so expensive. anyway, if you can get them for a car go ahead but if you can't then i would go to places like wal-mart or if there is a costco near you. brand name tires for a really good price. either way you choose, good luck.

retreads are hard to find and not worth the money. go to a place like PEP BOYS or Discount tire etc. and buy there private lable or house brand tires. they are cheap with decent quality but will usually have a shorter life and some time have seperation and weather crack issues due to shortening the rubber cure time to save money. small passenger car tires can be as cheap as 4 for $99.00 up to $199.00 for larger sizes.

Passenger car radial tires are not designed for re-treading and I am not aware of anyone who does it. Only commercial service bias tires for heavy trucks can be re-treated so retreading is not really an option.
