You are doing good with 167,000. With proper care, a car can last 250,000 or even more.... and yet there are far too many cases of failure as well, even before 20,000 miles. The most probable failure will be your transmission if it's the original transmission. However, actual mileage can be deceptive if, for example, most of your miles have been on the open highway rather than stop and go driving around town then the engine and transmission can last twice as long as a short trip car. the milage doesnt mean anything.that just shows how many miles it was driven.its all on how it was maintained and kept up.they are a good car as long as you dont abuse them.No one can tell you how long any car will last.Maintence is very important.The cleaner the fuel the less wear you will get in cylinders.If two people bought the exact same auto on the same day and both followed each other everywhere they went and they handled the maintence the same way the cars would not be worn out on the same day.
