The trunk of my car was bent by the wind. What to do?

Question:
The other night a nasty wind storm came through the town I live in and I came home to the trunk of my car blown open. The problem now is that the it is bent. It is bowed and can not be shut. I have no idea where to start and need to get it fixed asap. Anyone have any tips for me? The car is an old 77 Buick Lesabre. Thanks.

Get some bungee cords and strap it down to take to the nearest body shop, or call them and maybe they can either tow or trailer it there for you.Be prepared to spend lots of money, unless your car and that sort of damage is covered by your insurance policy

Just call around and find a junkyard that has one. Or search on www.car-parts.com. Get all the hinges then take it to get a cheap matching paint job (probably under $100) at an Earl Schieb type place.

Tie it down some how and then go trade it, because it is untelling what the wind might do to it the next time.
