What could cause my car to stutter when I accelerate?

Question:
I have a 2003 Ford Focus with 70,000 miles. Recently its started to stutter a bit when I initially accelerate, from a complete stop. I've replaced the spark plugs and the fuel & air filters. Also I've used some good fuel injector cleaner additive, yet the problem still persists. What are the other things that could cause this to happen? Spark plug wires maybe? Is the fuel additive just not good enough to clean the injectors? Thanks for your help!

Rummy, may be correct about sensors, but a vehicle newer than 1996 should throw a check engine code for bad sensors and just about anything else that could make a car sputter.. Is the engine light on? If so, have it read by an autozone, they will do it free of charge.

Moved my car this morning. 6 hours later tried to drive it. Nothing! Any ideas what's wrong with it?

You are on the right path, always start with the basics. You have already done plugs, fuel & air filters. check your plug wires, then your induction system sensors, a sticking tps or maf sensor can also cause these problems.
I am not a beliver in additives. I think you will find your problem is in the ignition or induction system of your car. If you can not isolate and resolve the problem then I suggest visiting a ford service center.
best of luck.

Is your check engine lite on ?? if so have it checked out, usually if the lite is flashing there is a missfire.it could be a coil, wires, fuel pressure. or like you think a bad injector. good luck
