Question:
Ok, my car will not start unless I keep giving it gas, and even then it wont. It's not the battery or anything else, all that stuff's been checked. I am wondering if it can just be caused by a clogged fuel filter, or if I would most likely have to replace the pump. It's a 98 Millenia if that matters.

To knowda 1996 Ford F-150 excab 4x4 351 (5.8)ltr automatic with overdrive?
Change the filter if you want, but that ain't it. It's a '98 with OBDII, have the fault codes read. Are we ever gonna get a gas price break?
Had a bad check valve in a fuel filter that caused the same problem; try it before the pump.Where can I find a good websites for mods on my car??
Defenitly the fuel filter is plugged.Just change it and see if the pump works ok.Sure it can. If it's plugged then no fuel can pass through it and no gas to the engine.
Most of the time it is a choked-up fuel filter - it is
an inexpensive thing to try anyway.
fuel filter.
Grinding noise from car when veering to the right what is it?
Yup a clogged filter will keep it from starting, but most likely it would have stopped you from driving first. It is unlikely that it would clog whilst parked.change the filter dude, change the air filter also while your at it
