I need to know why my truck just stop while I was driving?

Well, yesterday I went to a local salvage yard and purchased a used MAF sensor and installed it. The check engine light is still on, and the trans light came on last night and it began doing the same thing as described in my last post. I was told that I would need to take it back and have the "check engine" light cleared out manually and that should reset everything and stop the trans light from coming on as well. Is this true?

yes .disconnect the negative cable at battery for more than 10 second .
that will erase the store code in You inboard computer.

I hit a really bad bump in road, alternator light came on and now car stalls when at stop lites. drives fine.?

P.S. next time before You start replacing parts.erase the code first,and believe it only if the code come back.
