Question:
I washed my car this morning and its spotless apart from the black plastic trims around the windows, whipers etc.
The car wax has left marks on them. Does anyone know of anything that will remove these stains, I've tried various things but with no luck.

black 2 black & viynl gel & bumber black will not get rid of it, it might disguise it for a bit thats all, if you apply that black 2 black over the polish you'll only find it harder to remove in the future.. you need to take it off with just hot soapy water & a cloth with alot of elbow grease, car valeters would use TFR (trafic film remover) diluted with water to remove the polish as when it drys up it a bu*mer to get off!

next time when applying polish to your car you should always stay a couple of inches away from the black plastics & the window rubbers, wipers & vents etc, its when you use your clean cloth to take off the polish you you get to those places.. as the polish is now getting caught up in the cloth so it does polish those areas you've left out : )

then if you want to shine up the black parts you can use 'viynl gel' its basically like vaseline but for cars & it drys!
If your black parts have faded & dull then use 'back to black'

Yeh Ive had the same prob with my car which has large plastic bumpers ...there are loads of products on the market which resemble liquid black shoe cleaner it will cover up loads of things & make the plastics look new...any car spares store or D I Y store should have it.My Nissan's A/C vent isn't working! if you check out the instructions on the tin i think you'll find it tells you to avoid getting it on those parts, can only suggest back to black or summat like that, DONT GET THAT ON THE PAINT!!!!!!!try baby oil, it works very well on all black plastic trim parts

"back to black" its in a red bottle at an auto store advance auto parts auto zone pep boys careful dont get any of it anywhere else it will most likly staini got a solution for ya.. and trust me on this,,, and for all those of you with plastic worn out trims.. if you ever have old motor oil that you have taken out of you cars out, keep some aside. use that on your outside plastic trims.. bring even the worst of worn out plastic back to the black.. ive done it and use this all the time. makes the trim look immaculate and new

Iver always solved this with Armourall. they even do Armourall wipes now!
